We assist in the application of environmental planning and assessment for our clients that is outcome and customer focused. Candor adheres to the Planning Institute of Australia Code of Conduct. Candor has been founded with a vision to provide guidance and assistance in development assessment related matters with a customer focused experience. At Candor, we do not take on every assignment, we only take on assignments where we are confident that we can help our clients achieve their goals within the legislative planning framework, adding value and professional advice to the proposal to the benefit of the customer. We support and provide services to our local non-for-profit community groups including the Batemans Bay Seahawks Football Club, the Moruya Camp Draft Association and the Moruya Pony Club.
Rebecca, the Director of Candor, is a highly experienced senior Town Planner, with tertiary qualifications in town planning, environmental science leadership and management. With over 15 years of development assessment experience in three different Local Councils, most recently in a senior management role, coordinating the development assessment team. Demonstrated extensive experience in the assessment and determination of variety of development applications including residential flat buildings, commercial, industrial and tourism development, large scale mixed use development and Planning for Bush Fire Protection assessments and has represented as an expert witness in the Land & Environment Court, s34 Conciliation Conferences and representation to the Joint Regional Planning Panel and Local Council. In addition to extensive statutory planning experience Rebecca has proved herself in the strategic planning profession field with large scale structure plans, rezoning applications, scheme amendments, drafting Planning Policies and Design Guidelines. And has project managed large developments including local development plans for a regional airport, a large scale resort redevelopment and a Local Biodiversity Strategy. Working in local government has given her an understanding of the importance of the customer experience when navigating the development assessment process. This has driven her to provide a service that assists the community in achieving there development goals.
Outside of work, Rebecca is a well travelled, social and an engaging member of her local community. Actively volunteering to support local sporting, recreational and community events whilst leading an active lifestyle, meeting new people and creating positive experiences
